Cuthbert Registe, "Bobby" to all who knew him, left this world behind peacefully with his family by his side on February 20th, 2024.
Born March 13, 1943, in Grandbay, Dominica. He was the son of Joseph Registe and Rosalie Registe. Bobby spent his years in St. Thomas and Alaska.
Bobby played many parts in his life: a husband, father, brother and papa. He didn't play by the rules and walked to the beat of his own drum, which his children can say, they definitely got from him.
He retired after 30 years of service to the Anchorage School District, where he made life-long friends. Bobby provided bus service to children attending school from Grandbay to Roseau. Most parents could not afford to pay him. However, Bobby continued to provide bus service to the children for free.
He had a signature voice that when you shouted “Bobby,” you would hear “Yoow”. Adults and children would line the streets, just to call and wave at him.
Bobby is survived by his children; Steven Registe, Cheryl Registe, Bruney Asante Registe, Ediana (Anna) Sandy Registe, Kervin Registe, Davy (Bobroy) Registe, Albert (Randy) Registe, Jenney Registe and Andre Registe. His grandchildren Jelani Morton, Janelle Registe, Jakeela Registe, Janisha Registe, Jakeel Registe, Ah-Joy Registe, Nowah Sandy, Kiara Sandy, Jenna Sandy, Zaden Registe, Zacarius Registe, Zabrina Registe, Jazmine Morton, James Morton and Andre Registe. Great grandchildren Adia Thomas and Gianna Smith. His brothers, Thomas Registe, Phillip Registe, Martin Registe, Joseph (Bernet) Registe, Amos Registe. Sisters, Manuela Laville, Catherine Registe-Andrews. Many nieces and nephews too many to mention, including the Registe, Pacquette, and Merrifield families.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie Registe, his mother and father. Also, his brother Evans Registe.
