One of my Great-Grandmother's favorite sayings translates to something like "Days are like pages...and we get to decide what we want to write on them."

On Cindy's pages are recollections of laughter; seeing her sitting on the sofa sandwiched in between her friends and family; and at an Italian restaurant bravely tasting something she had never tried before. My pages are all the more colorful and richer for knowing her.

Dear Almada Family,

I would like to share with you an inspiration from Mary Frye because
when I think of Cindy, its impossible not to think of her surrounded by the light and laughter she shared with so many others - so I can not beleive she is truly gone from our lives.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.

Please accept my sympathy regarding Cindy. She was the light of our get togethers when we were young girls. There have been many times I have run across our First Communion picture and it brings back so many memories. Your family will be in my parayers.

Dear Almada Family,
During this very sad time, we wish you love, peace, warmth, and understanding. Today was a very beautiful day that we celebrated the life of a very much loved daughter, mother, sister and friend. The family with their deep sorrow made sure all friends and family were taken care of and there was a beautiful reception to honor Cindy's memory. One thing we all saw today was the love and support of a beautiful and loving family, Cindy knows she was loved and she loved each one of you in her own way. May you find peace and closure knowing that she now lies safe in the arms of Jesus. waiting for the day when you will all be togther again. Our love and prayers are with each of you.. Look for the small signs from above as you will see them and know that they are a sign from above telling you I am finally ok. The sunrays as the sun sets or rises, the clouds , the rainbows, even the rain.

In our thoughts and Prayers:
Much love to all,
Debbie and Curt Hicks

My condolences on the passing of your daughter, mother, sister and friend. Although I haven't seen Cindy in many years, my memories are those of a young girl swinging on the swing set at school. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I sit and wait
does an angel contemplate my fate
and do they know
the places where we go
when we´re grey and old
I´ve been told
that salvation lets their wings unfold
so when I’m lying in my bed
thoughts running through my head
and I feel that love is dead
I’m loving angels instead

and through it all she offers me protection
love and affection
whether I’m right or wrong
wherever it may take me
I know that life wont break me
when I come to call she wont forsake me
I’m loving angels instead

when I’m feeling weak
and my pain walks down a one way street
I look above
and I know ill always be blessed with love
and as the feeling grows
she breathes flesh to my bones
and when love is dead
I’m loving angels instead

and through it all she offers me protection
a lot of love and affection
whether I’m right or wrong
and down the waterfall
wherever it may take me
I know that life wont break me
when I come to call she wont forsake me
I’m loving angels instead
