Cynthia Marie Hamilton Barriere

Cynthia Marie Hamilton Barriere entered the gates of heaven on November 13, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on September 28, 1948, to the union of the late James Calvin Hamilton & the late Alma Theresa Dolliole Hamilton. She was the eldest of three children. Cynthia was a native of New Orleans, and a graduate of Joseph S. Clark's class of 1966. Nursing was her passion. She worked for Charity Hospital, Tulane University Hospital, and St. Margaret Daughter's Home in New Orleans. In 1967, Cynthia was united in holy matrimony to Ronald F. Barriere Sr. She was a loving mother to five children. She was blessed with seventeen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Sis. Barriere was a true servant of God and enjoyed being in the presence of the Lord. She fellowshipped at Sovereign Hope Apostolic Fellowship. She leaves to cherish her memories: One aunt, Emma Anthony, One sister, Joan Ann Hampton, Her Husband, Ronald F. Barriere Sr. five children: Kismit B. Bougere, Ronald F. Barriere Jr. (Deandrea), Kimeta B. Riley (Ronald Sr.), Ronson F. Barriere, and Dale-Theresa Venible (Sylvester), sixteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two brother-in laws, two sisters-in-law, two God children Keisha Bertrill Hampton, and Noel Jefferson and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents the late James Calvin Hamilton & the late Alma Theresa Dolliole Hamilton, one sister Dale-Theresa Hamilton, one grandson Romin Ferrel Barriere, her grandparents, Milford P. Dolliole Sr. & Hilda Poree Dolliole, and Florence "Tuta" Johnson-Davis & James Hamilton. All are invited to celebrate her life and legacy on Saturday November 22, 2025, at Apostolic Outreach Center 8358 Lake Forest Blvd. New Orleans, Louisiana.
