Walter George Adams Jr

Walter George Adams, Jr., age 83, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Born on November 27, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Walter was the son of the late Walter George Adams, Sr. and Frankie (Adams) Leonard. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and Southern University and A&M College. Walter is survived by his devoted wife, Evelyn Reese Adams; his children, Elisa Williams, Tamara Johnson (Frederick), Walter Adams (Arlene), and Taj Adams (Bjana); his siblings, Melvin Adams, Shrylin Lewis, and Brenard Adams, Sr. (Janet); and his brother-in-law, Claude Reese. He leaves behind nine grandchildren: Arthur Adams, Oliver Chambliss, Adam Williams, Kayla Torrence-Johnson, Kyle Torrence-Johnson, Sera Adams, Allie Adams, Sarai Adams, and Zuri Adams; and two godchildren, Tela Myers Branch, and Rhonda Scott. Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Friday, November 21, 2025, for 11:00 a.m. at the National Association of Letter Carriers Hall, 4200 Elysian Fields Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122.
