Cynthia Bonollo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by J. J. Duffy Funeral Home on Oct. 29, 2025.
Cynthia A. Bonollo, 65, of Cumberland, RI, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 2, 1959, Cynthia was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Nectar (Goorigian) Lennox. She was a lifelong resident of Cumberland, RI.

Family was of the utmost importance to her. First was her beloved son, Carleton Joseph Bonollo, and second, her cherished grandson, Travis Bonollo. Cynthia is also survived by her brother, Frank Lennox (Linda), her sister, Nectar Provencal (Jeff), and many loving cousins.

Cynthia had a zest for life and was often seen cheering enthusiastically from the sidelines at her grandson's soccer games and Cumberland High School varsity football games. Holidays were always filled with family and laughter, reminiscing about childhood secrets between siblings. She was a member of the equestrian community, including the United States Equestrian Foundation (USEF) and the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA), with her passion being competitive show jumping. Her involvement in the sport brought lifelong friendships and many travel experiences with close friends – always with her dog by her side.

Cynthia was a graduate of Cumberland High School, class of 1977. She continued onto Bryant College obtaining an associate's degree in nutrition and a Supervisory Food Service Certificate.

Cynthia was an employee of Newport Creamery for 17 years and later worked in Institutional Food Services at Sturdy Health for 30 years, where she retired.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Cynthia's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Diamond Hill Cemetery, Cumberland.
