Cynthia Byrd Bundrick, 73, of Blythewood, died on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Born on February 20, 1952, in Blythewood, she was the daughter of the late Robert Benjamin Byrd and Ruby Ellen Goodwin Byrd.
Cindy was an exceptionally gifted quilter who generously dedicated her talents to the service of others. In addition to ensuring her family was always surrounded by the comfort of her exquisite quilts, she created numerous donation pieces for causes dear to her heart, including the Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity, the PATTH Program at the Big Red Barn, the Sheriff’s Department for children in crisis, Prisma Health’s NICU, and many more. She was also a proud and significant contributor to Quilts of Valor, honoring and supporting military heroes through her craft. Cindy was an active member of several quilting organizations, including the Logan Lap Quilters of Columbia, Quilters of South Carolina, and the South Carolina Longarm Quilters, where she shared her artistry, fellowship, and unwavering commitment to her community.
Survivors include her husband, Donald L. Bundrick of the home; son, Robbie Byrd Williams (Kelly Ann) of Lexington; stepson, Kevin Lee Bundrick (Taryl); grandchildren, Stephanie Carter (Trey), Heidi Spires (Jacob), Isabella Watts (Scott), Sophia Cox (Canaan), Ava Williams, Carson Williams, Ruby Williams, Cruz Williams, Stetson Williams, Vivian Williams, JJ Finley, and Maddox Finley; and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Hoover and Linda Workman; and stepdaughter, Leitha Bundrick.
The funeral service to honor Mrs. Cynthia’s life will be held at 2 o’clock on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 1729 Blythewood Road Blythewood, South Carolina. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church beginning at 1 o’clock until 2 o’clock. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 1729 Blythewood Road Blythewood, South Carolina 29016.
