Cynthia "Cindy" Irene Claymore, 58, of Crivitz, passed away at home on July 19, 2024. Born on October 13, 1965, in Milwaukee to the late Phyllis A. Deruso (Chartier) and Earl V. Kusba, Cindy was a free spirit and a light in the darkness.
Loved by many for her kindness, fun-loving nature, and creativity, Cindy was unapologetically a hippie, an avid gardener with an encyclopedic knowledge of plants. She cherished the outdoors, enjoyed fishing, hiking, and observing wildlife. Over the years, she rehabilitated several critters, dabbled in hobby farming, and even raised homing pigeons. As an artist, Cindy created beautiful drawings and woodcarvings of nature, as well as dreamcatchers, jewelry, and floral arrangements-her talent knew no bounds. She loved to dance, and in the summer, she could be found at every bluegrass festival in Northeast Wisconsin, dancing and laughing, full of life. Cindy fiercely loved her family and friends and enjoyed a good competition, whether running a 5K or playing cribbage, schmear, or dice. Cindy loved B-rated horror films, Edgar Allen Poe, antiques, and the color purple.
Preceded in death by her parents, her sister, and too many close friends, Cindy is survived by her partner, John Gillis; her daughters, Jessie Claymore and Michaela Judy (Xavier); her grandchildren, Camren, Adrienne, and Andrew; bonus grandchildren, Romeo and Remi; her brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Cindy's wishes, no services are planned, however there will be a celebration of life at a later date. You can find her on the wind, in the places she held sacred.
Only the good die young. Fly free, Cindy. You are deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
