Cynthia Earnest Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Panama City on Aug. 12, 2025.
Cynthia "Cindy" Alisa Earnest, 68, of Wewahitchka, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 10, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born in Panama City on February 9, 1957.

Cindy graduated from Rutherford High School in the Class of 1975 and went on to study at Gulf Coast Community College. She had a passion for sewing, hunting, fishing, shopping, and cheering on college football. Above all, she loved her Lord and Savior, as well as her parents, brother, children, and grandchildren. Cindy was a devoted homemaker and the heart of her family-a natural problem solver, crisis manager, counselor, and, in the eyes of those who knew her best, the world's greatest mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Joann M. and Harold C. Earnest, and her brother, Garry H. Earnest.

Those who will forever cherish her memory include her daughter, MaKayla Cantrell and husband, Michael; her son, Jason Earnest and wife, Katee; and her treasured grandchildren, Andrew and Eli Earnest. She is also survived by her aunts, Chris Morris and family, and Pam Murkerson and family; her niece, Shanna Dunlap and husband, Keith, along with their children, Spencer and Caitlyn; and her nephew, Shaun Earnest and wife, Amanda, with their children, Emma and Ella.

The family will welcome friends on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Panama City.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Buckhorn Cemetery in Wewahitchka, Gulf County. Family and friends are kindly asked to gather at the cemetery by 9:30 a.m.
