Cynthia Lynn “Cindy” Edwards, 54, of Elberton, passed away peacefully, with family at her side, on Thursday evening, April 17, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens following a sudden illness.
Born in Elberton on June 4, 1970, Cindy was a daughter of the late James Larry Edwards and Joyce Hope Nelms Edwards. She was a proud 1988 graduate of Elbert County High School and enjoyed her work as a dental assistant.
Affectionately known as “Cindy Loo”, “Crazy”, and “Granny”, Cindy’s greatest love was her family. She loved all things purple, and was Dr. Pepper’s best customer! Cindy was a free spirit who left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Surviving are her son, Dalton Zane Noggle of Elberton; daughter, Tanner Hope Mabry and her husband Luke of Danielsville; sister, Susan Fortson and her husband Terry of Elberton; grandchildren: Addisyn, Dalton James, Raelynn, Charli, Morgan, and Madison; nephews and niece: Ethan, Savannah, Masen, Keaton, and Kason; best friend, Kelly Hall Patten; uncle, Keith “Pappy” Nelms; aunts: Brenda Edwards and Vicki Edwards; and a host other relatives and friends.
A time of visitation celebrating Cindy's life will be held on Monday, April 21, from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery.
Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in her memory to SafeHouse Ministries, Post Office Box 6336, Elberton, GA or to the ECCHS Class of 1988, 2011 McCoys Mill Road, Hephzibah, GA 30815, which will help a needy family at Christmas time.
