A Celebration of Life Service for Cynthia Annette Hendrix, 63, of Gans, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel at Forever Memories Funeral Services in Sallisaw.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services.
Mrs. Hendrix was born on June 14, 1962, to Kenneth Gilpin and Lavell Darland. She died on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026.
She started work as a CNA and eventually ended up as the business manager for a nursing home. She enjoyed watching OU football and Thunder basketball, and spending time with her family.
She married Gary Hendrix on Nov. 24, 2004.
Survivors include her husband; children, Bobby Owens, Michelle Swimmer, Matt Barrett and Kellie Manes; one sister, Laneal Timmons; one brother, Drian Darland; 14 grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Beverly Darland.
