Cynthia was a vibrant and loving soul who embraced life with vigor and warmth. She cherished her family deeply, and her love for them was evident in everything she did. Married to the love of her life, Jay Hetter, for 39 wonderful years, their bond was a testament to enduring love and companionship.
She was a devoted mother to her children, Ken (Joy) Scicluna, Jessica (Matthew) Colasinski, and Chelsea Hetter, and a doting grandmother to her treasured grandchildren, Frankie, Lucas, and Jaclyn. Cynthia's father, Earl (Nancy) Pillion, survives her, along with her siblings, Carla (Jeff) and Lynn (Mike), and her beloved dog Bailey.
Cynthia had a passion for the simple joys of life-sunflowers, angels, and butterflies were among her favorites. Her kitchen was often filled with delicious aromas as she loved to cook, sharing meals and laughter with her family. Known for her exceptional hugs, she had a unique way of making everyone feel cherished and loved.
Her adventurous spirit was evident in her travels, particularly her fondness for beaches. A memorable trip to Hawaii last year with Jay was a highlight, adding to a lifetime of beautiful memories.
Dedicated to living life fully, Cynthia found joy in working out and approached every challenge with determination and heart. Her candid nature and delightful sense of humor made her a cherished friend to many.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her mother, Glenda Pillion. Her family and friends will forever hold her memory close, remembering the warmth she brought into their lives.
In honoring Cynthia's legacy, those who knew her best will carry forward her love and laughter, striving to love as fiercely and live as fully as she did. She will be dearly missed and always remembered. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Cynthia's memory to the Arc Downriver. Her cremation will take place at "The Witness Crematory" located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
