Cynthia Jean “Cindy” Elser, age 68 of Evensville, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 13, 2025. She was born in Nampa, Idaho, on December 12, 1956, the daughter of Frank Roy Dean Clevenger and Bonnie Jean (Spickelmier) Clevenger.
Cindy lived in Evensville for the last 30 years and retired from Walmart after 15 years of service. She was a dedicated employee and valued member of the Evensville community.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 49 years, Lewis Elser of Evensville; her sons, Lewis (Catherine) Elser II of Spring City, Curtis Elser of Brayton Mountain, and Roy (Tabitha) Elser of Las Vegas, Nevada; her daughters, Valerie Waddle of Nashville, Catherine Elser of Graysville, Barbara Atkinson of Sacramento, California, and Bonnie Elser of Evensville; her sister, Becky Long; her brothers, Roy Clevenger, Bruce Clevenger, and Keith Clevenger, all of Coos Bay, Oregon; and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Cindy will be in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 12:00 noon with Rev. Leroy Smith officiating.

The family is being cared for by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, Tennessee, where they will receive friends on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
