Cynthia Elaine Mahan-Carling

Cynthia E. Carling, 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of Lee R. Carling for over 30 years. Born in Fullerton, California, she was the beloved daughter of Elizabeth Hopkins and the late Donald G. Tedder. In addition to her husband and mother, Cindy is also survived by her children: Rick Mahan and Nicole Roberts; her two grandchildren, and by her siblings Sandra Wilson and Donna Adams.
A longtime resident of Warwick, Rhode Island, Cindy also treasured the time she and her husband spent in Winthrop, Massachusetts. She possessed a wonderful spirit of adventure, which she and her husband, Lee, nurtured through many memorable trips, particularly throughout New England and the Nova Scotia region. One of their favorite pastimes was antiquing, especially searching for Murano and Venetian glass, which they lovingly collected for many years and, more recently, delighted in gifting to those close to them. Cindy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her funeral services will be private. Burial will take place in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts.
