Obituary of Cynthia Rogers

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cynthia Ames Rogers. Born on August 12 th 1947, Cindy passed peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday morning, March 17 th, 2026 after a battle with liver disease. She was the daughter of the late Robie Ames Jr and Dorothy Dyer Ames of Camden, Maine. She leaves behind her husband of 47 years, Scott Rogers; three children-- Stefanie Rogers McAllister, Robie Ames Rogers and son-in-law Mark McAllister; and 3 grandchildren-Liam Ames and Maggie Dee McAllister, and Isabelle Joy Rogers. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth Ames Moran and her husband Andrew Moran, and their children Heather Moran and Melissa Woodhead and her husband Samuel Woodhead and their respective children. Her family also consists of many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends both here and who have passed who loved her infectious sense of humor and ability to tell a tale. Cindy, or Meemaw, as her loved ones called her, was a "hoot!" She was always smiling, always had ice cream or a treat on hand, and was always ready for whatever adventure was coming next. She and her daughter, Stefanie had just returned from a last trip to DisneyWorld on March 11 th where she had such fun riding on the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Carribean, seeing the animals on safari, and eating her favorite snack, Strawberry Soup. She even got to have breakfast and lunch with her "boyfriend," the one and only Donald Duck!

Cindy graduated from Camden High School and had a bachelors degree in Accounting from the University of Maine. She worked in Augusta for a while at various places like a radio station, police station and Digital Electric before coming to work as the Payroll Specialist at Pen Bay Medical Center where she worked for over 30 years before retiring. Cindy enjoyed spending her time at the family beach in Northport where she was married, and gardening in her backyard where she would fight the squirrels over the birdfeeders. She loved her birds, cardinals most of all.

Cindy was so loving and generous of spirit and her family was the most important thing to her of all. There will not be funeral services at this time, however, there will be a graveside committal in the summer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Toys for Tots if anyone wishes. Cindy would always go out of her way at Christmas to purchase extra toys to take over for their donation boxes. She loved seeing children happy.
