Cynthia Louetta (Lawrence) VandenBosch, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. She was born on November 30, 1966, in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Alvin and Lydia (Kinney) VandenBosch.
Cynthia grew up in Otsego and lived there for a short time as an adult before moving to Mancelona in 1996. She owned Outcast Tattoo and Piercing Studio in Mancelona for many years as well as a candle shop in Bellaire.
Cynthia loved her family more than anything else, especially her grandchildren (and her dogs). From a young age, she had an interest in Harley’s; not only did she love riding, she knew them inside and out. She also enjoyed boating with family and friends, sitting around a bonfire, and crafting necklaces and other jewelry. She had quite an artistic side and made all of the floral arrangements for both of her children’s weddings.
Cynthia is survived by her two children, Crystal (Kris) Levitz of Mongo, IN, and Rick (Mariya) Lawrence of Mancelona; four grandchildren, Isabella (Justin) VanAuken, Kristopher Levitz, Kaitlyn Levitz, and Levi Lawrence; three brothers, Alan (Fay) VandenBosch of Sturgis, MI, Jim VandenBosch of Holland, MI, Brian VandenBosch of Otsego, MI; several nieces and nephews; and her former husband and father of her children, Mike Lawrence.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
There are no services planned at this time.
Arrangements are in the care of the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Please sign her online guestbook at www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com
