Cynthia "Cindy" Lynn Westover, born on September 27, 1957, in Denver, Colorado, to Dale and Evelyn Burkart (Distler), passed away peacefully at home on September 5, 2025.
Cindy was the beloved middle child of three, with an older brother, Dale, and a younger brother, Rich. On June 23, 1979, she married the love of her life, Herschel Westover. Together, they raised three sons: Blake, Ryan (who passed away on June 9, 2022), and Lance.
A devoted mother, Cindy was her sons' and grandsons' biggest cheerleader-always present at their sporting events and activities, offering unwavering support and love.
Cindy began dancing at the age of four and never stopped. Dance was her lifelong passion, and her joy was evident every time she moved to music. She was a dedicated dance instructor and performed in numerous productions over the years. Her talent and energy led her to become a cheerleader for the Denver Broncos (The Pony Express) from 1977 to 1979, as well as a cheerleader for the USFL's Denver Gold and a dancer for the Denver Avalanche indoor soccer team during the 1980s. She also served as an assistant choreographer for all three teams. Cindy was always active and loved staying fit through Pilates, Zumba, and other forms of exercise.
Cindy was employed by PepsiCo for 32 years, where she built lasting friendships and earned the respect of many colleagues.
Cindy is survived by her devoted husband, Herschel; her sons Blake (Tori) and Lance (Chrissy); her cherished grandsons, Bryson and Nolan; and a large extended family and circle of friends who will miss her dearly.
Cindy will be remembered for her radiant smile, infectious positivity, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
