Cydny B. Norris

Cydny Bush Norris, 63, of Castle Rock, CO, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025. A proud Leo, she was born August 4, 1962, in Selfridge, Michigan to Charlie and Patricia Bush. After living in Colorado, she spent several years near family and close friends in Iowa who cherished their time kayaking on the river and enjoying the sunshine.
Cyd moved back to Colorado a few months ago to be closer to her siblings and her companion. She lived a full life, loving and connecting with nature, caring for her cats and chickens, and spending time in her lush gardens. She was well-versed in literature, history, and art. Cyd found joy in sitting on her porch with a cat or a chicken curled on her lap while devouring a good book. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, and her friends often remarked that Cyd didn't have food in her cupboard; she had ingredients.
She is survived by her siblings, Katie [Mike] Barrett and Tom [Julie] Bush, 2 nieces and a nephew. Cyd's companion of 12 years, Chipper Gallowicz brought much joy into her life. Cyd will be fondly remembered by her vibrant green thumb, practical and kind wisdom, and the light she carried with her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Colorado Humane Society in Cyd's name as a tribute to her deep love of animals.
