John Norris

Mr. Johnny Norris, age 78, of Hazlehurst, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at his home following an extended illness. He was a native of Vero Beach, Florida, and had lived there for most of his life before moving to Hazlehurst in 2019. Johnny served our country in the United States Army and was a truck driver for various companies. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, singing karaoke, and spending time with friends and family.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Mr. Norris is survived by his daughter, Terri Peet and husband Ron of Auburndale, Florida; one sister, Christine Ross of Bradenton, Florida; three nieces, Christine Strickland, Billie Bierman and wife Denise Goss all of Vero Beach, Florida, and Alexandria Dixon and husband Clay of Hazlehurst; one great-niece, Cassie Costa and husband Clinton Jarriel of Hazlehurst; and two grandchildren, Alicia Peet and Austin Peet.
A private service will be held at a later date.
The arrangements have been entrusted to Wilkes Funeral Home of Vidalia.
