Cyril was born to Cyril Sr. and Marjorie Rice Sturm on February 28, 1932, in Crossville, Illinois. Cyril grew up in Evansville, Indiana.
He met his wife, Martha Schlueter in high school. They married on 12-25-51, enjoying 60 years together. Cyril and Marty had 2 sons.
Cyril graduated from Purdue University in 1954, served 2 years in the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant while stationed in Virginia.
After his military service, Cyril joined the Kroger Company and worked for them for 29 years, and other private industries until retirement. He and his family moved numerous times during his career.
Cyril is survived by his older son, and his wife of Lafayette, IN; his younger son, wife, and granddaughter of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister, Rosalie Rushing of Lafayette, IN; and nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.
Cyril was preceded in death by his wife, Marty; his father; his mother; and brother, Alan Sturm.
A memorial service will be held at a later time at Central Presbyterian Church. 31 N. Seventh St., Lafayette, IN.
