Dahlen Paige Semar, 23, passed away on November 12, 2024 in Lake Charles, LA. She was born on May 17, 2001 in Lake Charles, LA to David Semar and Lyndsey Mhire Thomas.
Dahlen was the most loving, selfless, hilarious, and beautiful person inside and out. She loved being home with her family, drawing, music, and pop tarts. She found purpose in comforting others, and anyone who met Dahlen couldn’t help but love and laugh with her. Dahlen was always down for anything. No matter what came her way she always had her sidekick sisters, Kayleigh, Tatum, and Lyric. Even in her darkest times, she was always there for everyone else without question or judgement. We will miss her dearly. Our family will never be the same again without her, but we are confident that she is no longer in pain, with our Heavenly Father.
“Therefore, you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.” John 16:22
Those left to cherish her memory are, her parents, David Semar Jr. (Stacy Landry) and Lyndsey Thomas (Ricky Thomas); her grandparents, Jan Mhire (Granny), Dwight Mhire (Bonnie Conner), Danny Thomas, Norma and Jerry Laden; her siblings, Kayleigh Semar, Carter Semar, Tatum Mhire, Lyric Thomas, Jack and Sydney DeRouen; her uncles and aunts, Johnny and Gidget Semar Jimenez, Luke Thomas, Norman and Brandi Mhire Savant, Mindi Mhire, Clayton Mhire, Leo and Molli Mhire Rideaux; and her cousins, Gabriel, Gavin, Jaelyn, Waylon, Mylo, and Cayde.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edwin and Gustavia Mhire, Clarence and Jane Semar, David Semar, and Judy Manuel.
Dahlen’s Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Sunday, November 17, 2024, in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the start of the service at 3:00 PM. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
