Mary Benita Semar

A Bloomfield resident, Ms. Mary Benita Semar age 57 passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024, in Colonial House in Shepherdsville Kentucky. Benita was born January 23, 1967, in Leitchfield. She was a homemaker, loved to shop and spend time with her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Marvena Livers and her mother Linda Leathers Broaddus. She is survived by three sons, Anthony Richard Broaddus, Ben Crouch both of Springfield Kentucky and Ryan Depoister of Salem, Illinois, one sister, Debbie Broaddus Embry of Radcliff. Three Brothers, Steve Broaddus of San Antonio Texas, Keith Broaddus of Elizabethtown, Charles Broaddus of Lebanon, her father William (Bill) Broaddus of Bloomfield, and 4 Grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Ms. Mary Benita Semar will be Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 10:30 am at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Rev. Lisa Zahalka will be officiating. Interment will be in Wilson Home General Baptist Church Cemetery in Caneyville. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 9 am Thursday until time of services.
The family requests expressions of sympathy to take form of contributions to the WHAS crusade for children.
