Daisy Burrows Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 11, 2025.
Daisy Marie Burrows, aged 81, of Montgomery, Texas, passed away on December 5, 2025. Born on February 12, 1944, in Hemphill, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of the late Calvin Burrows and Mary Marie Chapin. Daisy was a devoted mother and grandmother, whose love and joy touched everyone around her.

She is survived by her sister, Fannie Mae Currie, brother, David Chapin, daughter, Brenda Maddox and husband Charles of Lisbon, North Dakota; her sons, Jesse Sunday and wife Rebecca, James Sunday and wife Janelle, both of Cleveland, Texas, Fred Sunday and wife Wendy, and Everett Sunday Jr. and wife April, both of Montgomery, Texas. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Tangie Schank, Jesslyn Longfellow, Kaleena Sunday, Everett Sunday III, Savannah Jordan, Brandon Perry, Joseph Perry, and Stephanie Kunze, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Marie Chapin, dad, Orville Othelle Chapin, father, Calvin Burrows, and sons, Darren Sunday and Steven Sunday.

We gather today to celebrate the life of our mother. A woman whose love and joy touched everyone around her. Her devotion was unwavering and her greatest happiness came from seeing her family thrive. Every choice she made, every sacrifice she endured was rooted from the deep love she had for all for her children and grandchildren. The simple pleasures of shopping in her catalogs, strolling through Walmart for hours and going out to eat, reflects her delight in life's little things. Though we grieve today, we also celebrate, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter and generosity, Momma thank you for every gift, every smile and every moment of care. You will forever live in our hearts.
