Maria "Daisy" Desideria Perez Lopez, daughter of Carmelo Perez Acosta and Maria Elena Lopez Martinez, was born on October 31, 1972, in La Plazuela Badiraguato, Sinaloa, Mexico.

Daisy grew up in Sinaloa, where she attended school and received training as a secretary. She began her career working in the accounting department of a local store before later moving to the United States.

In 1996, Daisy was united in marriage to Alejo Carrillo Duran. The couple first made their home in California before moving to Oklahoma, where they welcomed their daughter, Myriam Abigail in 1998. After a brief return to Mexico, they settled permanently in the United States and expanded their family with the births of their sons, Alexangel in 2002 and Adrian in 2008.

Over the years, Daisy worked at the Corwith and Clarion Meat Lockers and Wells Fargo in Clarion, Iowa before finding her true calling at the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows School District, where she served as a para educator and translator for the past 11 years. She cherished this role deeply, taking pride in welcoming new families, offering comfort, and bridging language gaps. Daisy had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and at ease-her kindness touched everyone she met. In 2021, Daisy became a legal citizen of the United States after her hard work and dedication to her country. At that time she legally changed her first name to Daisy, which everyone knew her as already.

In her free time, Daisy enjoyed traveling, working on puzzles, and cooking for those she loved. Her specialties, Sinaloa dishes, capirotada, ceviche, and pozole were among the favorites she shared.

Daisy was also a devoted member of the Iowa Falls congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, where she was active in the ministry. Whether visiting people in their homes or conducting Bible studies, she shared her faith with warmth, sincerity, and compassion.

Daisy will be lovingly remembered for her gentle heart, generous spirit, and the joy she brought to others. Her kindness and welcoming nature leave a lasting legacy in the many lives she touched.

She is survived by her children Myriam Abigail, Alexangel and Adrian; her father Carmelo; and siblings Juan Manuel Lopez, Javier Lopez and Luciano Lopez along with many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Maria Elena and brothers Alfredo and Abel Lopez.
