Daisy Pauline Eversole Vires

Mrs. Daisy Pauline Eversole Vires, age 86, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on March 13, 1936 in Butterfly, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of the late Marion and Ida Mae Campbell Eversole. She was 1954 valedictorian and graduate of Deputy High School. She was united in marriage to Clayton Vires on March 9, 1961 in North Vernon, Indiana. This happy union of 17 years was blessed with two daughters, Marcia and Valerie. They moved their family to the Madison community in 1969 where she remained the rest of her life. She attended Ivy Tech Community College to earn her registered nursing degree. She worked as an RN at River Valley/Mayfield Nursing Home for 28 years before retiring in 2004. She was a member of the Madison Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Daisy died on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. at the River Terrace Health Campus in Madison, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY
Daisy will be missed by her loving daughters, Marcia Mays and her husband Scott of Saint Charles, Missouri, Valerie Mahoney and her husband Monty of Centerton, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Charity, Amber, Gabriel (Lori), Donald (Erica), Darin (Brittany), Corey (Nicole), Lindsay, Colin (Melissa), and Isaiah (Megan); her step grandchildren, Paula and Jeremy; her great grandchildren, Hope, Faith, Zoey, Jace, Elizabeth, Addyson, Ethan, Clayton, Harper, Hannah, Grace, Layla, Macey, Jade, Hunter, Neveah Joy, Hudson, and Oliver; her sister, Pearlie Aines of Richmond, Kentucky, Hazel Coomer of Seymour, Indiana; her step-sisters, Lois Colwell of Sarasota, Florida, Emma Ritchie of Danville, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Marion Eversole, her mother, Ida Mae Campbell Eversole, her beloved husband of 17 years, Clayton Vires, died April 23, 1978, her brothers, William, Ronald, and Roscoe Eversole, her twin infant sisters, Ollie and Mollie Eversole and her sister, Helen Napier, her step-brother, James Butler, her step-sisters, Betty Goodin and Emma Ritchie, and her great granddaughters, Sophie Baughman and Elizabeth Bentley.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. by Pastor Scott Mays at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
