Daisy Hillman Obituary

Daisy Irene Hillman, age 100, of East Tawas, passed away on Sept. 30, 2025 at her home.
She was born in Highland on Nov. 12, 1924. Her parents were Gilbert Paul and Irene Agnes (Rabideau) Vernier. Daisy and her husband, Wendell Jack Hillman, were married on Jan. 21, 1956 in Croswell.
Daisy loved nature and the family shared much time together in camping, hunting morel mushrooms, fishing and other outdoor activities. She and her husband taught their sons and daughters to respect and care about nature. Spending time with family, painting, puzzles and reading, were some of her favorite activities.
Daisy was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Wendell Jack Hillman; and by her son, Robert L. Hurley.
She was the beloved mother of Diana (James) Clark, Gale (Steve Roberts) Yates, Randolph Hurley, Raymond (Kathlyn) Hillman, Jackie Pegg, Pamela (Denis Shannon and Margaret (Bruce) Lynds. She is also survived by a good number of grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
Per her wishes cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. Condolences may be shared at bureshfuneralhomes.com.
