Daisy Bell Hall Shipman

Daisy Bell Hall Shipman, age 84, of Richland, Washington, died Sunday, July 20, 2003. She was born December 27, 1918, at Jacksonville, Arkansas, to Isabell Wood Hall and Edward Gorman Hall. She married Grover G. Shipman in January of 1936 and they moved to Kennewick, Washington in 1952, then to Richland in 1954. She lived in the same house for forty-nine years. She was a housewife and worked in the cafeteria at the weapons plant in Jacksonville, Arkansas, during World War II. Mrs. Shipman helped with the Association of Retarded Citizens and many other charitable associations during her life. She was the greatest mom, grandma, great-grandma and talked about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to the end.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Martha Mae Hall, Sarah Grahm and Pauline Payne; a son, Bobby Shipman, who was struck by lightning at the age of eight months; and her ex-husband, Grover Shipman.

Surviving are her sons, Jerry, David and Dennis Shipman, all of Richland, Washington, Woodie Shipman and wife, Teresa, of Kennewick, Washington, Randy Shipman and wife, Bobbie, of West Richland, Washington; her daughter, Martha Jane Reed of Medical Lake, Washington; her grandchildren, Karen Kaplan, Mike and Roger Woorrell, Jonathon Shipman and wife, Kim; great-grandchildren, Josh, Andrew, Megan and Joel Kaplan, Jillian Shipman, Connor, Hunter, Elijah, Adam and wife, Katie and Kurtis Shipman; a brother, Edward Hall and wife, Madeline and a sister, Ruth Haney, both from Arkansas.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 24, 2003, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, Arkansas from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2003, at Westbrook Chapel, with burial in Apple Hill Cemetery, by Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
