He was a distinguished fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery, a former governor of the American College of Surgery, and past president of the Baltimore Academy of Surgery, as well as the Maryland Chapter of the American College of Surgery. Over the course of his lifetime, Dr. Buchbinder gave several hundred presentations and wrote more than 70 publications, including co-authoring Cases in Health Care Management with his wife, Dr. Sharon Buchbinder and colleague, Dr. Nancy Shanks. I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of such a talented doctor who gave so much of himself to help others, only for this terrible disease to come alone and take him. Pray that God be with his family and give them the strength to endure this very difficult time.
