Dale Lee Christian, 86, of Warsaw, MO, passed away on June 21, 2024. Funeral Services will be 2:00pm Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, (8251 Hillcrest Rd, Kansas City, MO 64138) Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00pm at Park Lawn Funeral Home prior to the service. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
Dale was born on July 11, 1937 to Woodrow and Edith (Banks) Christian in Higginsville, MO.
Dale graduated from Van Horn HS, Class of 1956. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from 1956-1960. Dale was a B-52 Bomber mechanic. He went on to become a member of the Boilermakers Union Local 83. Dale retired in 1999.
Dale and Barbara Wilson were united in marriage on April 23, 1977. They resided in Raytown, MO. Shortly after retiring, Dale and Barbara moved to the lake in Warsaw, MO. Dale enjoyed hunting and fishing, and visiting the neighbors in his lake community. Dale was an avid sports fan and cheered on his beloved KC Royal, KC Chiefs, and Mizzou Tigers. Dale was a member of the Spring Branch Church of the Brethren in Warsaw, MO.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by a brother, Lymon, son, Larry Wilson, brother-in-law Bob Pelling, and brother-in-law Jim Hardgrove.
Dale is survived by his wife, Barbara, of the home, sons Craig Christian and wife Linda, Lexington, MO, and Danny Wilson and wife Cheryl, Rackett, MO, brother Mitchell Christian and wife Linda, Greenwood, MO, sister Carman Pelling, New Smyrna Beach, FL and sister-in-law Norma Hardgrove, Deepwater, MO. Additionally, he is survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
