Dale Collins
Dale Collins, 82, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on August 28, 1943, in Mount Carmel, the son of Wayne and Ruby (Keppel) Collins. Dale graduated from Mount Carmel Highschool Class of 1961. Dale married Linda Ochs on November 28, 1966, and together they enjoyed fifty-nine years of marriage centered on their family.
Dale faithfully served his country in the United States Army. His fondest memories were the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. An avid sports fan, Dale loved cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals and watching NFL football. He also enjoyed listening to country music. Dale worked as a supervisor for Snap-on Tools, where he dedicated more than thirty-five years of service. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
Dale will be remembered by wife, Linda Collins; three daughters, Christina Carie and husband, Russ, Lisa Fischer and husband, Andy, and Madonna Collins; nine grandchildren, Justin (Amanda) Hamblin, Chelsey (Matt) Niezwaag, Alexis (Jonathan) Brown, Jessica (Harrison Loeb) Lewis, Aiden (Kaci) Fischer, Nicholas (Emmalie) Fischer, Colin Fischer, Zach Orth, and Emily Orth; seven great grandchildren; sister, Karen Mahorney.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers.
A private family service was held at Keepes Funeral Home with Father Bill Rowe officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors took place at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dale's memory to Wabash County Animal Shelter Buddies. Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
