Dale A. Didcoct

Dale A. Didcoct, 76, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at his home in Okatie, South Carolina.

Dale was born in Troy, Ohio on Oct. 24, 1939 to Henry H. and Ruth Schaffer Didcoct. He spent all his school years in Troy, Ohio and upon his graduation from Troy High in 1958 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served four years in Navy Air as a crewman of a Super Constellation aircraft during the Cold War. Dale was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Dale resided in Morristown for 34 years. He moved to Okatie in 2009.

Dale's older brother, Don, preceded him in death in the 1980s.

Dale is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia K. Didcoct; daughter, Jennifer Didcoct Turner; husband, Steve of Nashville, and their son, Samuel Didcoct Turner of Knoxville.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 at Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton, South Carolina. Dale's cremated remains are being sent to the U.S. Navy Station for burial at sea.

Dale requested a contribution in lieu of flowers to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry Country, P.O. Box 3827, Bluffton, SC 29910.
