Thomas Eugene Barish, 83, of Bluffton, SC, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, and North Babylon, NY, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025 at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, SC.
Tom was born February 26, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Eugene Barish and Irene Pasco Barish. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and his community as a New York City Police Officer.
Tom is survived by his daughters, Denise Triesch (John) and Susan Charontakis (Mike); sisters-in-law, Marijane Hipps (Sewell) and Sally Hawkins and sister, Carol Ann Howe. He was a wonderful Gee to his grandchildren, Samantha, Steven (Katie), Brynne (Zack), Zachery (Megan), Ashlee and Hailee, and a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Grace Lorraine Barish; sister, Marilyn “Pat” Kavanaugh and brother-in-law, Robert Howe.
