Grace Lorraine Barish, 82, of Bluffton, SC. Formerly of Brooklyn, NY and North Babylon, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
Grace was born February 20, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Paul Frederick and Helen Stephien Frederick. Raised in Brooklyn, she then pursued a career in retail management.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, Thomas Barish. Grace is survived by her daughters, Denise Triesch (John) and Susan Charontakis (Mike); sisters, Marijane Hipps (Sewell) and Sally Hawkins and sister-in-law, Carol Ann Howe. She was a loving Ga-ga to her grandchildren, Samantha, Steven (Katie), Brynne (Zack), Zachery (Megan), Ashlee and Hailee, and a proud aunt of many nieces and nephews. Grace was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Marilyn “Pat” Kavanaugh and brother-in-law, Robert Howe. She is also finally reunited with her beloved dog, Lilo.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 31, 2025 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd, Bluffton.
