Dale Henery Helm, a cherished husband, father, and friend who was born on September 25, 1955, in Houston, Texas to parents, Francis Marion & Genevieve Marie (Rose) Helm, passed away on September 27, 2024, at the age of 69, at his home near Oakwood, Texas.
Growing up in Houston, Dale moved to the Buffalo area in 1963, where he eventually became a U.S. Army Veteran. Dale was a hard worker, dedicating his time to various roles ranging from construction to operating machinery at the local mine. Even in his spare time, he found joy in cutting wood, scrap iron recycling, and other odd jobs for extra cash.
Beyond his work, Dale found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing on lazy summer afternoons, exploring new destinations, and feeling the wind in his hair while riding motorcycles.
Dale will be dearly missed by his devoted spouse, Julie Helm of Oakwood; children, Chris (Kelli) Helm of Knoxville, Tennessee, Donna (Matt) Rudy of Frisco, Lisa Lopez (Pepi Rojas) of Oakwood, Tony (Heather) Brooks of Athens, and Ronald Brooks of Beaumont; grandchildren, Xavier, Orion, Jacob, Harley, Arianna, Marco, Juan, Alex, Amy, Noel, Gabby, Abby, and Breanna; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Helm (Albert Worchel) of Houston; sisters, Jean (Kevin) Corriveau of Conway, South Carolina, Lynn (Kenneth) Brooke, and Frances Karkorsky of Pearland; as well as a host of friends and extended family members who will always cherish the memories shared with this kind-hearted man.
Dale was preceded in death by both of his parents; brother, Stephen Helm and sister, Nita Gay Graves.
The family invites all who knew and loved Dale Helm to join them in honoring his life at a visitation to be held from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon, Saturday, October 5, 2024, followed by a memorial service at 1 P.M. at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas. Pastor Johnny Veretto will officiate the service.
As we gather to celebrate Dale's life, let us remember him fondly for his hard work, his love for his family, and the moments of joy he brought to those around him. May he rest in peace, forever remembered in our hearts.
