Dale Edward Mitchem, 75, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at NMMC-Gilmore in Amory. He was born in Rock Creek, West Virginia on January 7, 1950 to the late Samuel and Laffon Brown Mitchem. Dale attended school in Raleigh County, West Virginia and eventually moved to Mississippi in the early 1970's. He married Marjorie Geiser in 2004. Dale was a jack of all trades and spent most of his working career doing plumbing and HVAC in the construction world. Dale loved being in the outdoors, especially fishing every opportunity he could. He was also a gifted glass painter and was known for painting the Last Supper. Dale also enjoyed woodworking and tinkering on electronics.
Dale is survived by his wife, Marjorie Mitchem; sons, Robert Mitchem, Chris Mitchem and Kenneth Mitchem; daughter, Angela Mitchem; brothe, David Mitchem (Julia); sisters, Edith McQuillan, Barbara Lewis, Mary Gorbutt, Debbie Davis, Cathy Krausa and Sarah Mitchem; 5 grandchildren, including Auston Ballard (Meagan) and Kimberly Bagwell; great granddaughter, Lizzie Ballard; a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dale is preceded in death by his son, Danny Mitchem; sisters, Fairlena Mitchem and Wilma Redden; brothers, James, Janny Joe and Douglas Mitchem.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
