Dale W. Mizer, 86, passed away at his residence in Huntington Beach, CA on December 24, 2023. Dale was preceded in death by his wife Paula M Lanier Mizer.
Dale graduated from New Philadelphia Ohio high school in 1955 and soon thereafter joined the US Air Force. Upon discharge from the US Air Force, he settled in California where he lived for the remainder of his life. Dale worked in the aerospace industry as a project manager for Hitco Carbon Composites with a career that spanned over 40 years.
Dale was a current member of Saint John’s Episcopal Church in Costa Mesa and a former member of St. James Episcopal Church in Newport Beach. Dale, along with his wife Paula were active in the church children’s education and enlightened the children with their skills in puppetry and clowning ministries.
Dale’s hobbies included cooking and photography. He was well known for his cheesecake which was always requested for the many parties and family gatherings he hosted or attended.
Dale is survived by his three children Linda Love, Pamela McMurphy, Daniel Mizer all from Novato, California. He also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Garry (Marjorie) of Lebanon, Ohio.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 1:30 PM in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. In honor of his service to his country, the New Philadelphia VFW Post #1445 will also be providing military honors.
