Dale Ray Nevel

Dale Ray Nevel, age 90, of Lone Rock, died Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the Richland Hospital.
Dale was born on July 1, 1934 in Marengo, IL the son of Ray and Gladys (Hunter) Nevel.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Dale. In his early age he represented a small high school in Northern Illinois and there on was named the only athlete in the Marengo – Rockford area who scored a point in the IL State track meet. He also loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing. After so many years, he then showed passion in leather crafting and spent hours watching wrestling channels and western movies.
Survivors include his wife, Tessie; sons, Keith (Alice), Clark (Zoren), Carlito; daughters, Dale Ann (Glen), Carol (Ronnie), Chona (Jerome); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Spring Green Community Church with Pastor Kendall Harger officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Richland Center ICU nurses and staff and the kind-hearted Spring Green Community Church members for the love and care given to Dale.
