REMUND - Dale Timothy Remund, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed
away peacefully on December 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving children. Born to Lynnel Albert and Marianne Fritsch Remund on September 19, 1945, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Dale lived a life filled with love, purpose, and kindness that touched many hearts.
Dale loved the Lord and instilled values of faithfulness and gratitude in his children. He taught his children to appreciate life's simple pleasures as well as its intricate details, from the delicate petals of blooming flowers to the vibrant colors of sunset skies. He retired as an area architect for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Eternal families are a cornerstone of Dale's faith, and his children find solace in the eternal nature of each
person and look forward to that familial reunion. Dale is survived by his children, Greg Remund, Jill (Greg) Rucker, Janet (Eric) Jensen, Matt (Kristin) Remund, and Marianne (Brett) Swanstrom and grandchildren whose lives have been enriched by their grandfather's teachings about love, family, and the wonders of nature: Calvin "Cal"; Rucker, Joshua "Josh" Rucker, Dallin Jensen, Abigail "Abby"; Jensen, Olivia Rucker, Ella Jensen, Elizabeth "Lizzie"; Rucker, Kyle Jensen, Owen Remund, Levi Swanstrom, Luke Remund, Ava Jensen, Lucianne "Luci"; Rucker, Ellie Remund, Eden Jensen, and Sunny Swanstrom. He is also survived by his sister, Annette (Ralph) Smithers. Dale is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Charlotte "Charlie" Jensen, parents, sisters Janet, Carol, Susanne and brother Ray.
Dale's world revolved around his grandchildren; they were the light of his life. He reveled in their interests and accomplishments, celebrating each milestone with joy and love. Every visit to Grandpa's
was highlighted by a candy table curated with each grandchild's favorite treats, a testament to how
he cherished making special memories with those he loved most. From cinnamon gummy bears to jelly beans and candy bars, every item on the table was carefully chosen with the individual tastes of
his grandchildren in mind. His devotion to his grandchildren was nothing short of extraordinary.
He cherished each moment spent with them, always eager to engage in their interests, whether it was to cheer them on in sports or to applaud their fine arts accomplishments. Dale possessed a
unique ability to connect with his grandchildren on their level, often becoming their enthusiastic partner in adventures that have endeared them to him forever. He would listen attentively to their dreams and
aspirations, providing encouragement and support that nurtured their growth - from starting worm bins to encouraging missionary adventures.
He believed that family connections were vital to creating lasting memories and strengthening family
bonds. Dale would often share stories from his childhood, blending nostalgia with humor, allowing his grandchildren to see him not only as a loving grandparent but also as a friend and confidant. His dedication to fostering these relationships left a lasting impact, creating a legacy of love and unity that will resonate
through generations.
Dale's dedication to the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) played a significant role in his life, not only as a leader but also as a supportive father and grandfather. He supported his sons and grandsons in
their scouting efforts and is a proud Grandpa of Eagle Scouts.
An avid outdoorsman, Dale found solace in the beauty of nature. He embraced opportunities to hike through forests or enjoy birdwatching under open skies. He would often rise early, equipped
with his binoculars and field guide, eager to spot the diverse birds of his area. His porch was home to many bird friends who frequently came by for meals.
The late Dudley, a magnificent St. Bernard dog, was more than a pet;
he was Dale's most loyal companion on countless journeys into nature. Together, they explored less traveled trails, including running with wild horses in Arizona and trekking through snow across Utah, creating lasting memories that epitomized the bond of loyalty and companionship.
Dale's attention to detail and meticulous work have become hallmarks of all he did. Even his handwriting is legendary for his children and grandchildren. His record-keeping skills have created unique journals that captured all that was important to him and have become a blessing and a treasured legacy for his children and grandchildren.
In remembering Dale, we will deeply miss his generous spirit. Yet, we find comfort in knowing that through our shared memories, we can continue to celebrate this remarkable man's legacy long after
he has departed from our lives.
A private family visitation will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2024,
at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 209 S Hammond Dr, Monroe, GA
