Dale A. Robbins, 94, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, missing his 95th birthday by 38 days. He was born on January 4, 1929, in Pleasant Grove, UT, to Charles Albert Robbins and Zola Adams Robbins. He attended Lincoln High School and maintained a lifetime relationship with many of his classmates with yearly reunions.  He was the last survivor of this group. He spent his early years in Afton WY, Rexburg, ID, Heber, Lehi, Pleasant Grove, American Fork and Orem, UT.

He was married to and preceded in death by his wives Dolores Jean Hess and Florence Bernice Price.  He was also preceded in death by his mother and father, brother Clyde and beloved sister Reta, Grandson Aaron Robbins, Granddaughter Maria Ann Stoddard, Great-Grandson Chris Stoddard, Stepson Robert Price.  He is survived by his sister Betty Carter, his children: Kristine Nipper, Marina Goldthorpe, Martin Robbins, Charles Robbins, Kevin Beagley, Ilene Morin, Dale Robbins Jr., Carolyn Cowder, Pamela Warren, Marcia Johnson, Norman (Price) Robbins.  58 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandson.

He traveled throughout Utah as a traveling salesman or with his school buddies.  They even staked out a plot of land and had it registered while prospecting for uranium in the 50s. He had a deep love of Mt Timpanogos and hiked the area in his youth.

Dale was gifted with a beautiful singing voice and was a member of the Utah Mendelssohn Choir in the 50s. They traveled throughout the western states bringing the joy of music to everyone. He worked in the Orem Robbins family grocery store in his youth during the time of WWII rationing. When he was 15, he applied for a job at Geneva Steel.  He was assigned to a group that would clean the fire chimneys of the layers of creosote. After donning asbestos suits and wooden shoes soaked in water, they walked out on a water-soaked board stretched out across the inside of the chimney with the roaring fires beneath them.  They could only spend a few minutes at a time until being replaced. Needless to say, this was unbeknownst to his parents.

After High School, he opened a hamburger place and called it "The Cave." Being close to the school, he did good business, but found that his hamburgers cost more to make than the $.19 he charged. Later he worked as a traveling salesman selling franchises for donut ingredients and donut machines and then pressure cookers and seasonings for chicken, until he ran into competition with Colonel Sanders who was starting the first KFC in SLC.  He found his niche as a salesman and worked for Steins Men's clothing store in SLC and Ogden, Denver, Albuquerque and in the men's clothing department in ZCMI. He later became a Real Estate Realtor with Western Real Estate.

He had a lifetime of memories that he loved to share with others. He always liked to know if someone would be visiting so he could have topics prepared to discuss.
