Dale Raye Seaburg
September 3, 1935 - December 10, 2024 (89)
Dale R. Seaburg, beloved wife of the late Robert E. Seaburg, passed away peacefully at home on December 10, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born on September 3, 1935, in Vanceboro, Maine, Dale was the eldest of seven children born to Joseph F. and Thelma (Scribner) Raye. She was a graduate of Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield, Maine. After moving to Connecticut, Dale met and married the love of her life, Robert E. Seaburg, in 1959. Together, they built a beautiful life over 59 years of marriage until Robert's passing in 2018. Dale and Robert raised their four children - Glenn, Lori, Diane, and Debbie - in Kensington, Connecticut, before moving to Glastonbury in 1977. In their later years, they divided their time between their home in Tavares, Florida, and their summer home at Cedar Lake in Chester, Connecticut. Dale was the heart of her home and family, known for her ability to find joy in the simplest pleasures of life. Her warm personality and radiant smile touched everyone she met. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Dale's love and kindness will forever remain loved ones.
She is predeceased by her husband, Robert; her parents, Joseph and Thelma Raye; and her brother, Perry Raye. Dale is survived by her children, Glenn (Jen) Seaburg of Port St. Lucie, FL; Lori (Bill) Cobb of Chester, CT; Diane (Rico) Carlson of Minooka, IL.; and Debra Ouimette of Woolwich, ME. She also leaves five grandchildren - Hilary, Heather, Jack, David, and Lucas - and two great-grandchildren, Cooper and Makayla. Dale is also survived by her siblings, Donna Bizeau of Detroit, ME; Dennis Raye of Texas; Frank Raye of St. Albans, ME; Paul (Ginny) Raye of Detroit, ME; and Wayne (Jerry) Raye of Detroit, ME.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice team, especially Ashley and Jen, for the compassionate care they provided Dale.
A private graveside service will be held on December 20, 2024, at West End Cemetery in Chester, Connecticut. A celebration of Dale's life will be held at a later date.
The family invites all who knew Dale to share a memory and raise a glass in her honor.
