Dale Gene Tadlock, 72, of Healdton, was born May 29, 1953, at Countyline, to the late Mr. Lahman Dale "Tad" Tadlock and Mrs. Pauline Faye (Edmondson) Pierce. He departed this life Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Healdton, OK.
The family will be holding a gathering to celebrate his life, 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Healdton Senior Citizens Center. Flowers may be sent directly to this location on Saturday or to the Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton prior to that. All are welcome to stop by to pay their respects to the family.
Raised in Healdton, Dale was introduced to the world of work at a young age, embarking on a career in the oilfield that would shape much of his life. He married the former Ms. Lee Ann Davis, on February 16, 1973, in Cooke County. Together, they welcomed their beloved daughter, Daela, into their lives. Tragically, Dale faced the heartbreaking loss of Lee Ann on March 31, 1996. This profound loss was met with unwavering strength as he devoted himself to his daughter and his grandchild, all while continuing his dedicated work in the oilfield. In a remarkable turn of fate, Dale discovered love once more when he met the former Ms. LaDona Mashore. Their connection flourished, and by 2000, they had established a warm and loving home in Healdton. Dale enjoyed a well-earned retirement from the oilfield, and after 12 years of shared life and love, he and LaDona celebrated their marriage on July 25, 2012, at the Rexroat Baptist Church, north of Wilson. Dale was a man of the outdoors, who cherished simple pleasures such as grilling delicious meals, tending to his garden, fishing, and gathering around a fire to enjoy quiet evenings with family. His interests were varied; he was a collector of knives and guns, appreciating the craftsmanship behind each piece. Additionally, he found joy in engaging games, such as the strategic challenges of chess, playing dominos, all sorts of card games. Even though he could be a bit ornery, Dale's heart belonged to his family and Jesus. Dale knew scripture and he loved sharing it with others. His most cherished moments were spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose laughter and love filled his life with immeasurable joy.
