Mr. David Wilburn, 74, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on November 1, 2025. He was born on April 7, 1951, in Cushing, Oklahoma, to the late Jack Wallace Wilburn and Doris Lucille (Burris) Wilburn.

David graduated from Fox High School in 1969 and briefly attended Seminole Junior College. Throughout his life, he worked extensively in the oilfield industry, gaining experience in numerous roles within the field.

In 1974, David married Linda Kay Terry, with whom he had three children: David, Jr., Tamara, and Jackie. Linda preceded him in death in July 1983. In 1988, he married Sheila Knight, who also preceded him in death in April 1994.

David enjoyed an active lifestyle in his younger years, participating in various sports, including golf, football, and baseball. He cherished time spent with family and maintained a commitment to his faith, attending multiple churches in the area that follow the Assembly of God/Pentecostal tradition.

He is preceded in death by his parents, both wives, and two brothers, Jackie and Danny Wilburn. David is survived by his children, David Wilburn Jr. and his wife Lori of Milledgeville, GA; Tamara Newcomb and her husband Darrell of Broken Arrow; and Jackie Wilburn of Altus. He is also survived by his brother Richard Wilburn and his wife Kathy of Pruitt City, his sister Twana Parker of Norman, and four grandsons: Kolton and Cooper Wilburn, and Fisher and Asa Newcomb, along with a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Christ Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Healdton on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 10:00 A.M., officiated by Rev. Sid Bazzrea. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday evening from 5-7 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton.

Pallbearers will be Kolton Wilburn, Cooper Wilburn, Asa Newcomb, Stephen Wilburn, Paul Wilburn, Scott Sherrill, Chad Sherrill, Danny Fletcher, and Tony Fletcher, with Fisher Newcomb honored as an honorary pallbearer.
