Dale William Welch, 61, of Holly, Michigan, went home to be with our Lord on April 11, 2025. He was born on May 13, 1963, in Maricopa County Arizona (Phoenix), later moving to Milford, Michigan in his early teens with his Mother, Donna Smoot, and sister, Maria Smoot. Dale was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
On August 13, 2005 Dale married the love of his life Erin Welch. The adventures of love & life officially started then. Dale and Erin have one amazing son Konner Welch whom they raised together at their home in Holly.
Dale was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and earned the rank of sergeant at the time of his honorable discharge.
To a growing boy, a father is his most important role model, and to Konner, he was that and so much more. Dale was a warrior of many battles, a soldier on many fronts, and a cowboy from the West, with a heart as big as his tough skull and love for all around him. Dale was an X-men, a superhero like you'd see in the comics he so loved. Like Wolverine, he had a gruff and scary exterior, with hands of stone and a body of steel, hiding within the softest and kindest of hearts. Dale was a comedian, making people laugh at every chance he could get, always shining even in the brightest of places. Dale was a boxer, a Marine, a football player, a jokester, a superhero, truly a gift from God, and the best father a young man could ever ask for. He loved his friends and family till the very end, and we'll love him forever.
Rest easy soldier, your work here is done.
A visitation will be held on Saturday May 24, 2025 at the Highland Congressional Church in Highland, MI from 10AM-11AM leading up to the celebration of life at 11AM. Following the service please join the family for the luncheon at the church. www.dryerfuneralhomeholly.com
