Dallin Monson

Dallin Troy Monson was a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend. Dallin was born the youngest of four children in Portland, Oregon on September 20, 2005. He moved with his family to Pleasant Grove, Utah, at the age of 15. Dallin returned to his Heavenly Father on September 28, 2025, at the age of 20.

He excelled in a variety of sports, including football, basketball, and lacrosse. His natural athleticism and determination left an impression on teammates, coaches, and those he competed against. Yet beyond his accomplishments on the field, Dallin's greatest gift was his heart. He had a fun-loving personality and a smile that lit up every room. Part of his tender heart was an awareness and concern for others - he had a gift for empathizing with people going through difficult times and always took the time to make others feel valued and heard.

Dallin loved life's simple joys and knew how to make the most of them. He could often be found cheering on his beloved Green Bay Packers, attending a sporting event, playing a game with friends, or settling in to watch a movie with his family. He was always up for trying a new food or drink, and he had a special weakness for spicy chips and sour candy. He loved spending time outdoors-biking and hiking around Pleasant Grove or relaxing in the hot tub. Gentle and kind, he was especially sweet with dogs and babies, who seemed to sense his soft heart.

He is survived by his parents, Troy and Toni Monson; his sister, Emma Monson Sackley, brother-in-law Garrett Sackley; sister, Eliza Monson; and his brother, Ty Monson.

Dallin will be dearly missed on this earth. His absence leaves an ache that cannot be filled, but his legacy of determination, kindness, joy, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held Monday, October 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Grove Creek Fifth Ward), 475 North 700 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
