Damaris was a creative soul, talented in her profession as a Personal Care Assistant in the medical field. Blessed with a generous heart and a supportive nature, she was always ready to lend a helping hand. Damaris' faith was a cornerstone of her life. As a devoted Pentecostal, she was deeply involved in her church community, leading worship, preaching, singing, assisting in maintaining order and communion within the church, and disciplining children in prayer. Her dedication to her faith was evident in her missionary travels and her Chaplaincy. She lived by the verse, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Damaris found joy in spending time with her family, traveling, and lending support to others. Her children, grandchildren, and her mother were her world, and she tirelessly prayed for their well-being. Her strength and resilience were inspiring, as she stood firm in her faith amid all trials. Damaris was a true warrior, always finding a moment to commune with God, regardless of the circumstances.
Damaris is survived by her mother, Eva Rodriguez, her children; Zuleyka (Yaris) Cruzado, Kinivette Cruzado, Jessica Torres, Ernesto Torres, Yessenia Torres, and Juan Torres, her son-in-laws; Alfredo Martinez and Juan Rivera, her grandchildren; Chardlyn Cruzado, Josue Cancel Cruzado, Josué Cruzado, Javier Cruzado, and her grandmothers; Yaris Torres, Leyshalis Cruzado, and Yarilesis Torres. Damaris was preceded in death by her husband, José, and her father, Juan Torres Rosado.
A viewing for Damaris Torres Roman will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, located at 730 State Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, 01109.
