Damon J. Bahr

Damon J. Bahr, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, in West Islip, NY, at the age of 57. Born on August 30, 1968, in Queens, NY, Damon exemplified a life marked by dedication, love, and service.

For many years, Damon devoted his career to ensuring the safety and well-being of others as a security guard at Good Samaritan Hospital. His commitment to his role highlighted his protective nature and his genuine concern for those around him.

Damon is remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, always ready to provide support and guidance to his family. He is survived by his wife, Renee; his daughters, Tia Baldassare (Leonard), and Kayla Bahr; and his cherished granddaughter, Meadow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Donna, who undoubtedly took great pride in the man he became. Damon’s warmth and gentle spirit will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation services for Damon will be held at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park, NY. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects on November 30, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, and again from 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM. A prayer service will also take place that day at 7:30 PM.
