Dan Alan Bench, age 89, passed away on March 2, 2024, at Lake Regional Health System.
He was born on November 10, 1934, in Springfield, Missouri; a son of Thomas and Reba (McCoy) Bench.
He was united in marriage to Sandra Creason on June 7, 1956, in Columbia, Missouri. They shared over 68 years together at the time of his passing.
Dan served his country in the United States Marines, attaining the rank of Captain. He spent most of his life working in Insurance as a Vice President of Brokerage at Principal Financial in Iowa. He served the Lord by volunteering at Windermere Baptist Conference Center in Roach, Missouri and eventually led the place altogether. Dan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Dan is survived by wife, Sandra Bench of the home; his son Marcus Bench of Lake Ozark, Missouri; his daughters Dana Bench-Murray of Lake Ozark, Missouri and Melissa Bench of Lake Ozark, Missouri; his two grandchildren Daniel and Rachel; and other relatives and friends.
Dan was preceded in death by his son Stanley Bench; his parents Thomas and Reba Bench and his two sisters Anita and Nina Jean.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Riverview Baptist Church in Osage Beach on Saturday, March 16, 2024 with visitation at 9:30 to 11 am, memorial service following, and a meal provided at the church.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to Riverview Baptist Church.
