Obituary of Dan Prosser
Dan Prosser, age 70 of North Liberty died Thursday, January 9, 2025.
James Daniel "Dan" Prosser was born November 9, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son of Richard and Lois (Ronnenberg) Prosser. Dan really never left this area, and has worked most of his working career in the mobile home business. Worked for Hames Mobile Homes for over 20 years, and had worked for Western Hills and Sunnybrook Mobile Home Parks for sometime also. He really enjoyed being outside working getting these homes moved in, settled and then landscaping the yards to make it just right for the new owners. He was a valuable person to have around because he could fix anything, and he would help you no matter what. Dan loved the outdoors, gardens, flowers, landscaping, yard work, fishing, camping, NASCAR and anything sports, especially his New Orleans Saints!
His family includes his children, Brittani Koeppen (Adam), Brenna Prosser (Trevor), Dustyn James Prosser, and Bailea Robertson (Tyler); grandchildren, Landen, Mikkayla, Makennah, Amiah, Delilah, Charlotte, Harley, Harper, Addison and Tandon; a number of siblings including Bobby Mullan, Dean Prosser and Barry Prosser; and his former spouse, Barbara Prosser.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Richard, Frank and Alan.
A time celebrating Dan's life will be held from 5 to 8 pm Friday, January 17, 2025, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Everyone attending are encouraged to dress casual and comfortable. A memorial fund has been established in his memory.
