Belcher, Dana Elizabeth Watson, 100 years old, of Sweetwater, formerly of Tellico Plains, passed away 10:57 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Wood Presbyterian Home in Sweetwater. Dana was the oldest living member of Notchey Creek Baptist Church until her death. She was saved in 1934 at 11 years old making her membership 90 years long. Other than being a Godly servant and loving her family, she was very proud of her work as a quality control supervisor and assistant cutting room supervisor with her husband Clarence. She was preceded in death by husband, Clarence Edgar Belcher and daughter, Teresa Dian Campbell Brown; father and mother, Dewey and Lora Watson; siblings, Lillian, Katherine, Jack, John, Barbara and Jim. Survivors: son, Dwain Belcher, of Athens; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Johnny McMillan, of Sweetwater; son-in-law, Bill Brown, of Decatur; grandchildren, Lance and Sheila Belcher, Deana and Barry Duggan, Jason and Renea Campbell, Jon and LeAnne Campbell, Jessica and Lebron Skelton, Chris Crowder and Karen, Natasha and Travis Schwinn; great- grandchildren, Dylan and Cassie Belcher, Broedy, Braelyn, Briley and Baylor Duggan, Jordan, Justin and Joseph Campbell, Nikki, Amber and Brandon Laidler, Bella, Ava and Gus Campbell, Baleigh Skelton and Nate Waters, Abby Schwinn; sister, Vira Bitzer, of Knoxville; sisters-in-law, Jo Graves, of Knoxville and Joann Watson, of Tellico Plains; 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral 3:00 P.M. Saturday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Jon Campbell, Rev. Shane Johnston, Rev. Gale Miller officiating. The interment will follow in Notchey Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1-3 P.M. Saturday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
