Dana S. Davis, age 52, a resident of Haywood County, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.  Funeral Services to honor Dana will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Rowdy Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday Evening, November 15, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brownsville Funeral Home.  

Dana was born on May 19, 1971, to Danny and Linda Murphy.  Dana graduated from Haywood High School in 1989, and Union University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1993. Dana worked for the Bells City School System for several years and was currently employed by the Madison County School System. Dana accepted the Lord as her Savior when she was 9 years old.   

She is survived by two daughters, Ellie Geiger (James) of Lebanon, TN and Claire Davis of Maury City, TN; her parents, Danny and Linda Murphy of Brownsville, TN

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fred and Verniece Staggs and her paternal grandparents, Walter and Katheryn Murphy. 

Those serving as pallbearers will be Brady Staggs, Jason Staggs, Dustin Staggs, Noah Staggs, Brian Morris and James Geiger. 

The family has requested memorials be made to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, 50 North Dunlap St., Memphis, TN 38103 or to the charity of donor’s choice.
