Dana Gorbunova, 35, passed away in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Dana was born in Moscow, Russia, to Ludmila Gorbunova and Aleksander Gorbunov. She grew into a brilliant and dedicated software engineer, admired for her skill, creativity, and commitment to her work. Beyond her career, Dana had a deep love of music and played the guitar with passion and joy. She had a gentle heart, a thoughtful spirit, and found delight in the smallest creatures-squirrels, bunnies, and chipmunks never failed to make her smile.

Her life was marked by kindness, intelligence, and a unique sensitivity that touched all who knew her. She will be remembered not only for her talents but for her warmth, empathy, and authenticity.

Dana is survived by her loving parents, Ludmila and Aleksander, along with family, friends, and colleagues who will forever cherish her memory.

The family shares these words in her honor:

"Loved and remembered. We strongly grieve the loss of our beloved Dana Gorbunova. She will remain forever in our hearts-young and beautiful, intelligent, deeply feeling, creative, and hardworking. Dear Dana, we believe that the journey of your soul continues onward. Rest in peace, our dearest. We will always love, respect, and remember you."

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 11am-12pm at the Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 56 Washington Street, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481
